![]() ![]() I’m assuming I’ll never see my money again, and at this point I’ve already invested over $50 in this stupid thing so hopefully my post, along with others, will keep others from losing money to this sham of an app. Like other reviewers posted, there’s absolutely no email or phone numbers to contact so my only choice was to cancel my “membership” (member of what IDK) and then I hit the button to cancel each of the pic requests. That was almost two weeks ago and I’ve received zero communication from the app, zero cartoon pics of my kids, and a weekly bill for being a “member” of this stupid fraudulent app. I then noticed the turnaround time was anticipated as being many days so I bought and used additional coins for the faster turnaround time of 12hrs. I uploaded three pics and paid for the coins, and weirdly each pic was not the same amt of coins though there was no explanation or breakdown of why. I wanted to give my husband a cartoon drawing of each of our kids as a birthday gift. ![]() I read an online review of the best photo “cartooning” apps and chose this one from the list. ![]() So the membership does not continue if you forget to cancel the free trial. It also takes me to a page to sign up for a membership when I try to import a photo just to see what would happen. I went to the app to check the status of my picture and it still wasn’t done. Even though it was a bad experience, I figured if I can’t get my money back at least I can use it for a while. When I canceled it in my settings, it said I would still have access to the membership until May 16th. (you get nothing with the trial, you still have to buy things separately and it has zero features that would make you want to purchase a premium membership) I was surprised to see the two additional charges from when I tried to expedite the process because I never got to actually use the service. I never got my picture, and 3 days later I was charged the monthly membership fee because the trial expired. I tried and it didn’t seem to work because the status of my order never changed, so I thought it might be a glitch. It said it would take 4 days to complete, and gave the option to get it within 12 hours if you buy two more coins. I started the free trial and I submitted one picture. I figured it would be simple enough, and I only wanted to try it one time. This app has no help page and no way to contact anyone about the service. I wish I could give it less than one star. ![]() "Cloud Gardens" is more of a vibe than a video game, like tending to a zen garden except instead of artistically placing rocks, sand and bonsai trees, you place overturned subway cars, plastic patio furniture and dangling wisteria vines. It's understandable that "Cloud Gardens" is not a game for everyone. By the end of the level, what was once almost literally a blank canvas is now a large rectangular lot covered in junked cars, piles of overturned shopping carts and various bits of garbage, all beautifully overtaken by nature. What starts out as a simple diorama element, such as a square of parking lot concrete, quickly grows more complicated as the diorama's build space expands. "Cloud Gardens" also includes a photo mode, to take snapshots and video images of your creations to share online.Ĭompleting the puzzles also unlocks items and structures in the "Cloud Gardens" sandbox mode, which allows for a more freeform creation. After nature has overtaken enough of a diorama, the puzzle completes and unlocks the next challenge. ![]() There isn't really any set right or wrong way to expand the scene, as each person's placement of the visual elements is going to be distinct. Clicking harvests seeds from the plants, and after enough seeds have been added to the scene, a single headlight flickers on, adding an interesting element. Adding piles of tires causes plants to grow and fruit. In one puzzle diorama, a metal fence surrounds a rusty, junked car. Placing the man-made elements stimulates the growth of the natural elements, causing them to flower and grow fruits. To solve the level, players will alternate between placing a natural element, such as the seed of a flowering fruit plant that grows downward or vine that grows in all directions, and then placing a man-made element, like a metal directional arrow sign, a pile of old tires, trash cans, abandoned vehicles and beer bottles. Each level is presented as a small diorama surrounded by clouds, a tiny corner of a wasteland, such as a child's playground or building rooftop. ![]() The basic game-play is not just artistic but also solving a puzzle. ![]() Now that aesthetic has been turned into a video game in "Cloud Gardens," where you're the artist creating whatever scene you think is beautiful. I even got to see many examples in real life when I spent some years growing up in a very rural environment, where it was not uncommon to see overgrown, abandoned roadside cemeteries, gravestones almost entirely covered by weeds, or farm buildings more than 100 years old slowly being reclaimed by nature. I find these images haunting and beautiful. It's a familiar sight in post-apocalyptic movies such as "I Am Legend" or video games like "The Last of Us" and "Fallout." There are also, of course, unlimited real-life examples, such as those stunningly depicted in the 2018 book "Naturalia," featuring photographs of nature taking back abandoned places. Picture a crumbling highway overpass, cars rusted and broken down, directional signs faded and overgrown by vines. ![]() ![]() ![]() PowerWindowsâ„¢ with 3D multipoint tracking to grade custom shapes & track movement.Unlimited corrector "nodes" let you chain multiple color corrections in serial or parallel.Secondary color corrector lets you select any specific color in the image for correction.Primary color corrector lets you adjust color in black, white & mid ranges of the image.Your Mac should have a fast hard disk for video, 16GB of system memory, Mac OS X 10.8.2, at least a 1680 x 1050 size monitor. Tell them you will get back to the, and then do just that once you have discussed it with the lecturer or simply thougt about it properly. If you have to tell a student that you cannot answer their question on the spot, do not feel bad about it. However, I do not think a good teacher is made by extensive infallible subject knowledge. Students will notice a few main things which are important to convey: Interest in the subject, taking an interest in students learning, and yes to some extent being prepared. I think in the end, preparations do pay off but perhaps you do not need to be as crazy with preparations as i was. Again, I spent a good deal of time on thinking about how to handle the material. The same kind of nervousness came back the first time I was going to lecture a course. Still I was very nervous when I started the TA sessions but it turned out very well. In retrospect, I was definitely overdoing it, but I think it helped me to feel more secure. Standard P-Touch label cassettes hold 8 meters of tape the heat-shrink cassettes are all 1.5 meters. Heat-shrink cassettes aren’t super expensive on a per cassette basis but on a per foot basis they’re kind of pricey. I now stock heat-shrink tubes in 5.8, 11.7, 17.7, and 23.6mm widths. Once it’s been heated the label is pretty durable, though it doesn’t have the laminated clear protective layer of the standard P-Touch labels. I’ve noticed that the text printed on the tube can be rubbed off if you handle it much before applying heat. ![]() The only difference is that instead of peeling the backing and sticking the label on you slide the tube onto its destination and heat it. The process of printing a heat-shrink tube is little different than that of a standard label. But, further investigation on Brother’s website says that only a few of their commercial label-makers work with the HSe labels, and those units start at about $150. It turns out Brother has a line of heat-shrink tubing, their HSe cassettes, for just such a purpose. It looked like the best possible solution and I was intrigued. While crawling around the bilges of newer boats I noticed that manufacturers were printing labels on heat-shrink tubing and attaching that to the cables. Heat-shrink labels applied to a wiring harness by the Cobia factory I’ve also tried cable wraps from the wider labels and initially believed this was my answer until I came back a few days later and discovered the label itself had separated from the tight radius of wrapping around the cable. The flags work okay, but they’re a pain to apply, stick out, and easily get caught and ripped, plus if you loom the cables together, they frequently get stuck in the bundle. So then I moved on to using my Brother P-Touch label-maker to print cable flags or cable wraps. That didn’t work for me because invariably I don’t have the decoding spreadsheet when I needed it. I’ve tried the little cloth numbers that go around the wire and then documenting each wire in a spreadsheet. Over the years I’ve used various strategies for creating wiring labels. The one sure fire way to avoid delaminating is to wrap clear heat shrink around the label.A cable flag that I wrinkled when attaching. So, a few months ago I undertook figuring out how to label my wires better. ![]() Experience - and the sheer quantity of wires I run - has demonstrated that’s not a winning strategy.
